The Powertone mouthpiece features a step baffle midway to the large chamber opening which gives it a very rounded even tone. It will give your sound more power, and enhances your tone, hence the name "Powertone." They are very easy to play, super responsive, with a touch of brightness and focus. The Powertone saxophone mouthpiece will most likely replace any mouthpiece you are using for contemporary or mainstream music.
We also offer the Super Powertone mouthpiece which is the same great mouthpiece, but hand finished to enhance the responsiveness and tone. If you want a custom hand finished Super Powertone mouthpiece, choose that option above. (Please allow an additional 4 weeks for delivery of Super Powertone)
