Who is Christopher Elliott Inc (LLC)?

We are a growing company of musicians both professional and amateur, technicians, teachers and students, originally started by two saxophone players and now encompassing players of most woodwind and brass wind instruments, all with the common goal of working diligently to change the way musical instruments should be purchased in this new and exciting market. We also are using our influence in this industry to spread the Message of hope to people worldwide through the gift of music, a belief that we give high priority to in our day to day operations.

Officially formed in 2007, the founders of Christopher Elliott Inc (LLC) Mark Wigginton and Brian Seltz were actively buying, refurbishing and selling used musical instruments, mainly saxophones, over the internet. The main purpose of doing this was to use the profit from the sales to be able to purchase their dream instruments, both of which being high end, ‘name brand’ saxophones.

During this process, they purchased some base model Asian made saxophones, and brought them to technicians and professional players looking for their honest feedback on the instruments. Despite the common knowledge or belief of Asian made instruments at the time, they quickly realized that there were some very good instruments coming from the Republic of China (Taiwan) and also the Peoples Republic of China (China). They partnered with an existing internet seller of saxophones and established themselves as a US Distributor for that brand for a period of time, until contracting with other factories to build the brand of instruments known today as CE Winds.

As the parent company of CE Winds, Christopher Elliott Inc (LLC) handles the day to day operations of CE Winds, and also still actively buys, consigns & sells musical instruments of all kinds including saxophones and saxophone accessories (mouthpieces, necks, literature, ligatures, reeds) as well as flutes, oboes, trumpets, trombones, guitars, bass guitars, stringed instruments such as violins, cellos, upright bass’ and pianos, to banjos, recorders… you name it, we’ve probably had one. We have also had some of the world’s finest specimens of rare instruments like Selmer Mark Vi’s, Super Balance Actions (SBA) and Cigar Cutters, King Super 20’s and Silver Sonics, Buffet Super Dyn Actions (SDA), Martin The Martin Committee I, II, and III, Buescher 400 Top Hat & Canes, etc.

Christopher Elliott LLC Also manages our partnerships with More than Music, a non profit based out of Colorado, and the New Life Dream Centers, a non profit based out of Florida. Revenue from every sale goes directly to these great organizations in hopes to help sustain and grow these programs so others can benefit from their individual visions.
