Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone
This vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone has a serial number of 152XXX which puts it’s manufacture date in early 1968. Overall the sax is in very good condition and has most of it’s original lacquer remaining. The saxophone was originally purchased from Rayburns music on April 25, 1968. It will come with the original Selmer Paris Guarantee card. The last overhaul was done in the 1990’s by Emilio Lyons. The sax feels great and plays about 70% as is, though some of the pads need to be replaced. The neck is the original neck and is in great condition with no pull downs or damage. The case is original and in very good condition. There is even a Rayburns emblem on the inner compartment lid. Near the strap hook there is some pitting, and under the pants guard there is heavier pitting under and around the felts. There are other spots of lacquer loss that are mostly visible in the photos. Overall, this sax is pretty clean and a beautiful rare find.
