Vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone
This Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone is all original finish which is mostly in tact, about 97-98%. Serial number of 192xxx puts it’s manufacture date around 1971. Has all the original pads as well, plastic Selmer Booster pads with the screw back booster. Do not see any major damage or repairs to the body of the sax, no resolders, etc. There is pitting throughout the sax with some heavier pitting around the low C key guard foot and tone hole.
The neck has had a pull down and has not been repaired (read below). The saxophone will also need a new tenon & lyre screw as the old ones were broken off when the saxophone was shipped (to us) without a proper end plug. We will be including a CE Winds Selmer Mark VI Style Tenor End Plug at no additional charge.
The case is in pretty good shape overall. The zippers all work fine, there is some material loose ont he top of the case but structurally, the case will hold up well.
As you can see, the sax looks amazing and just needs some work to be back playing 100% again. The finish looks great, the sax looks great.
Full asking price of $5,895.00 of this Vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone includes a full overhaul and neck repair by Selmer Paris Saxophone specialist Craig Christman in Naples, Florida. The sax will be sent for overhaul once the purchase has been completed.
